ACTS 2: 17 IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAYS GOD, THAT I WILL POUR OUT A PORTION OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL MANKIND: YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS. YES, EVEN ON MY SERVANTS AND HANDMAIDS I WILL POUR OUT A PORTION OF MY SPIRIT IN THOSE DAYS, AND THEY SHALL PROPHESY."

PROPHECY THROUGH SONG

A few days ago I was given this prophecy-through-song, about transformation through reading the Word, in a single day.  I am the writer, but the Holy Spirit is the author.  I was completely surprised to find it is a Christian rap song, and like the rain as of late, it arrived in a downpour.  I love the song, but I've never really cared a bit for other rap music!  The Lord must be trying to reach the young. By the end of the day, I was given the melody to this song, and it is the song "Butterfly" recorded by the group Crazy Town, released in 2001 I believe. I downloaded the karaoke version, and it works wonderfully with the lyrics.  If you want to 'rap' it yourself or others, begin reciting the first sentence when the drummer first joins in.  I am hoping to find a Christian rap artist to record this and release it. In the meantime, I am trying to find a local person to perform it so I can upload it to youtube and submit it to SonyMusic.  Please remember this is a copyrighted work.  The original song has lust-filled lyrics, but God has now transformed the song into something pleasing to Him.  Here's another rap song I found that's good.  I think Jesus wanted me to see it because I've been having a pity party lately....  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgZbP8nddhU  I found this video after checking to see if there were many Christian rappers on Youtube.

GET OUT OF THE WORLD*

My friends, I’ve got somethin’ to say
While I’m still in a world that’s still gone astray,
To those whom I may or may never greet.
God understood my tears,
And He helped quell my fears
Before He set me back on my feet.

Some people think that they are blessed
When they have money, power, fame,
And six or seven zeroes
Attached to their name.
They don’t understand it’s all a test,
Because Jesus said, To the rich be woes.

There are many who think life’s all a game,
But gentle sheep who are called by My Name
Will truly love and seek only Me.
And haven’t you heard
My flock studies My Word
So they can hear My voice and obey me?

See to the orphan and the widow for Me.
Be ever so humble, ever so meek,
And love all whom you meet.
You’ll be rejected, ridiculed, despised,
And here’s an age-old Word to the wise.
You should always turn the other cheek.

The road is narrow, this isn’t a sayin’.
It’s a fact, my friend; your knees are for prayin’,
And many shepherds don’t know a goat from a sheep.
The way is hard, the way is steep;
It’s not Park Avenue or Easy Street.
Lovin’ the things of this world is to betray Him.

I’ll shoot to you straight; I’ll shoot to you level.
Don’t be good friends with the serpent, the devil,
‘Cause the traps have strong chains, this isn’t a story.
They’re disguised as fun, some are snares wrapped in glory.
There are many enticements in this fallen world.
Some you’ve seen; some have yet to unfurl.

Can you plug your ears to the noise, the clamor?
Are you walkin’ around without wearing your armor?
Can you quiet yourself and say come Holy Spirit?
The clutter, the drama, can you close your eyes to it?
A life without God…there’s no life harder.
Your heart can find peace, but money won’t buy it.

My Little Ones:  Get out of the world…and get into His Word.
Don’t crawl all your life…get in that cocoon
And arise…a butterfly.
You’ll spread your wings….and fly.
Let Him transform your life
While there’s still time.

There are many who think life’s all a game,
But gentle sheep who are called by My Name
Will truly love and seek only Me.
And haven’t you heard
My flock studies My Word
So they can hear My voice and obey Me?
Little Ones:  Get out of the world…and get into His Word.
